It feels good to be back.
This two week break was unlike any other, for me.
It’s been a true death-rebirth, caterpillar-to-butterfly, top-to-bottom transformation…
A transformation that is still in process, right now.
The short version of the story is that most of the major pieces of my life disappeared over the past 14 days.
The longer, and far more powerful version of the story goes like this:
First, I sold the house I bought when I started my basketball business back in 2010.
(and, spent most of my 20’s in when I wasn’t travelling)
Meanwhile, that same basketball business…
(first called Basketball Renegades, then Elite Guard Training, and today DeepGame)
…Is about to retire, so I can focus on teaching internal development full time.
Between the house and the business, two major 13-year chapters are coming a to a close.
(and the basketball aspect of the business stretches deep into my childhood)
Then, I said goodbye to a girlfriend I’ve been with off and on for the past seven years, and often thought I would marry.
That’s when the wildfires hit Maui.
If you read our “Maui Retreat” email, you know I’ve been planning to move there and build a compound…
…But after the fires, it doesn’t look like the island will be viable (at least not for a while).
There’s more, but you get the picture:
Radical, life-altering change swept across many dimensions of my life, all at once.
Years ago, before I started doing internal work, this much change would be terrifying.
But now, it honestly feels like… Freedom.
Spectacular, uplifting, bright-eyed freedom.
Like a fresh, blank canvas to design my life upon, without restrictions or commitments.
I get to decide exactly what I want to do, where I want to do it, and who I want to do it with…
With nothing anchoring me in any particular direction.
It feels like the gift of a lifetime.
And as the debris of my “old life” drifts away, a potent clarity has emerged…
Clarity that will help you find your own unique path, and take total creative control of your life.
I can’t wait to share it with you in the coming days and weeks.
A new chapter has opened, and our most powerful work yet is just beginning…
