“No plan survives contact with the enemy.” – Helmuth von Moltke Man… Where to begin? This email — our first one back since retreat — was meant to land a month ago. But, as our boy Helmuth (there’s a name for you) said: No plan survives contact with the enemy. It’s been a wild (wild) six weeks, so lemme give you the cliffs notes: August 1: Last email before retreat. August 2 – 11: Retreat is an absolute banger, our best one yet, fxing legendary. You’re going to love the recordings from this one. (damn, it was so good…) August 12 – 23: Should have rested. But instead I did that thing where you sort of pretend to rest while still randomly picking away at work and neither rest nor work productively. August 23: Mayhem. Without warning or explanation, all of our tech… …Including three websites, ~80+ courses, 2000+ videos, tens of thousands of customers, my entire 14-year body of work… Goes down late on Friday night, and doesn’t come back. So we take off in a dead sprint, working ’round the clock to migrate, re-build, and re-launch everything I’ve ever created before total chaos ensues. I really wish I’d rested while I had the chance. September 10 – Now: Another retreat. Yep: In the middle of a top-5 all time shytstorm, I was scheduled to run a two week plant medicine intensive. So that’s what I did, and that’s where I’m writing this from, now. The good news is, the retreat seems to have jump-started my system. I’m feeling semi-coherent again, and the tech craziness has finally begun to settle, as well. We still have three days of retreat left, but I can’t wait to get back home and get back to writing these daily emails for you. If I have time, I’ll crank out a few more while I’m here this week — if not, then when I get home. In the meantime, have an awesome week over there and we’ll chat soon. I’ve missed this. – T |
Well, that didn’t go as planned.
