The Path has a problem.

“…Life speaks with a voice to you, a voice that brings you answers for the questions you continually ask of it.” – Douglas Adams

The Path has a problem.

(if you’re new here: The Path is our private community and coaching program for advanced self development — the best damn platform in the world for those who are serious about this work)

It’s the same problem our summer retreat has.

And the same problem this email newsletter has.

And it’s a big problem.

Maybe the biggest and most fundamental problem a business can face.

There’s a critical lesson in here for aspiring entrepreneurs…

…So let’s rewind the tape, and explore it.

It’s August 2024, the first night of our summer retreat.

Our group is sitting around the campfire, catching up on the past year.

The fire crackles and the mosquitos buzz and the sounds of the night surround us.

Our retreat has a 100% return rate…

(no, that’s not a typo — every single person who has ever come, has come back, which is why you never see the retreat open for registration)

…So the group is very tight, now.

As usual, the boys are cracking up about jing and girls and Marek’s psychic powers and all the crazy sh*t that happened since we were last together.

When Weston says:

“I tell my friends about this retreat all the time.

They ask me what kind of retreat it is, and I don’t know what to say.

It’s not a meditation retreat, but we meditate and do spiritual practices.

It’s not a business retreat, but we learn about business and there are some really successful entrepreneurs here.

It’s not just a personal development retreat, but we do really advanced personal development.

It’s not about one specific thing.

But when we bring it all together, there’s no better place in the world.”

That’s the damn truth.

Our retreat, The Path, these emails — they’re hard to describe.

It’s tricky to say exactly what we do here.

But when we do it…

I’d stack us up against anyone in the world, and bet the house on it.

Of course, at the same time…

Ambiguity is bad for business.

A business needs to be able to say exactly what it does and who it does it for — in clear, simple, understandable terms.

And the only reason we can’t is because I haven’t been treating this like a business.

It’s been a creative outlet for me:

A transition point between businesses, while I gain clarity on what I want to do next.

But clarity is finally breaking through.

And tomorrow, I’ll share what’s coming next…

Along with a huge announcement for anyone interested in joining The Path.

Stay tuned.

P.S. In the meantime, one of my favorite clips from last year’s retreat just dropped:

Spirituality is not what you think it is…

If you’re a Path member:

The full ~3 hour recording (Spirituality: The path of human potential) just dropped inside the community, and in our private podcast.

Log in now to check it out.

There is no such thing as believing in God. You either know God or you don’t.” – Will Johnson
