Kai Agreement
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Kai is an AI assistant that runs on your own computer. Taylor Allan Training LTD provides it to members as is, at no separate charge, as part of your membership. Read this before you install it.
1. What Kai can do
Kai runs Claude Code with the usual “may I?” prompts switched off. It can read, change, move and delete any file you can. Once you connect accounts (email, calendar, payment tools, other apps), it can act inside them: send messages, make changes, and in some cases spend money. It does what you tell it, and sometimes what it thinks you meant.
2. The safety gate is a speed bump, not a wall
A safety gate sends risky-looking actions to your phone for a yes or no. It matches patterns; it does not understand intent. It will miss things. Treat every approval request as real, and expect that some actions will not be caught.
3. You are in charge of it
You are responsible for everything Kai does on your computer and in your accounts: what you ask it to do, what you connect it to, and what you approve. Keep a current backup of anything you cannot afford to lose. Do not connect accounts, money or data you are not prepared to have acted on. If you would not hand a new assistant the keys to this computer, do not hand them to Kai.
4. No warranty, no liability
Kai is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Taylor Allan Training LTD, and Taylor Allan personally, are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or consequence arising from installing or using Kai, including lost or altered files, messages sent, purchases or transfers made, accounts affected, or downtime, whether direct or indirect, and whether or not we were told it could happen. Where the law does not allow that exclusion, our total liability to you for anything connected to Kai is limited to CAD $100.
5. Services we do not control
Kai depends on services run by others: Anthropic’s Claude, Composio, Telegram, and whatever accounts you connect. Their terms and their outages apply. You pay for your own Claude plan.
6. Open source
Kai is built on cortextOS, released under the MIT licence, which carries its own “as is” disclaimer. Nothing here narrows it.
7. Support
There is no promised support or uptime. Help is offered in The Path community as a courtesy.
8. Ontario law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and sits alongside our Terms of Service and Disclaimer.
By ticking the box and downloading Kai, you confirm you have read this, understood what Kai can do, and accept it.
