In 2016, I learned one of the most important lessons of my life as a practitioner.
And it totally freaked me out.
I’d been travelling almost non-stop for 18 months, living out of a suitcase that was way too heavy from the stack of QiGong textbooks I was hauling around.
I was trying to study an esoteric form of energy practice the only way I knew how:
Through reading books about it, and then practicing what the books told me to do.
And after studying and practicing on my own for almost a year and a half, I finally realized:
It was a total waste of time.
I didn’t know much, but I knew enough to know that I had no idea what I was doing:
So I tracked down the author of those books, an old Taoist master named Bruce Frantzis.
A few weeks later, I washed up on Bruce’s doorstep in Maui and began a three month in-person training program.
By the end of my first session, I’d learned more about QiGong than I’d learned in 18 months of studying on my own.
By the end of the second session, I felt like an idiot for wasting so much time.
And somewhere around the third class, Bruce made a comment that struck my mind like lightning:
“You can waste 20 years trying to learn something on your own that you could have learned in one year from the right teacher.”
The right teacher is the one, mission-critical piece of the path I used to be arrogant enough to think I could do without (“I’m pretty sharp, I’ll figure it out”)…
…But when I’m honest with myself, I realize every major leap I’ve made along my path has been carefully guided by a skilled teacher:
My basketball potential was only realized after a summer of training with “The Old Italian Pro”, KJ.
EGT only became a multi-million dollar company after I started working with my first business coach, PR.
My internal practice only took off after spending three months with Bruce, and then working with my now-teacher, ML.
My apprenticeship in plant medicine would have never even begun without CW and RA (who have saved my dumb ass more times than I can count).
Even DeepGame was guided by my close friend and advisor, AF.
(I laugh at what my vision for that program was until we workshopped it together)
The right teacher at the right time has been responsible for who and what I am, today:
Which is, to come full circle, a teacher.
And a damn good one, thanks to the teachers who guided me here and continue to guide me today.
I say all of this to bring your attention to the most valuable component of our new membership, The Path:
Personal coaching through our private online community and live calls, where I can help you on an individual level:
Steering you safely around the many (many) landmines waiting along the path, solving problems before they arise, and accelerating your progress across every dimension of your life…
– Inner development
– Business
– Relationships
– Spirituality
– Social development
– Physical training and nutrition
– Personal healing
– Productivity and life optimization
…And, as you’ll see, a lot more (just try me).
I’ve invested tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on teachers over the years…
…But I’ve always wanted to create a full-stack training platform where I could guide practitioners along the path at a price that is easily affordable for anyone who is sincere about this work.
That’s what The Path is today, and I’m damn proud of it.
Come check it out, and if it feels like a good fit, we’d be happy to have you with us.
It will be an honor to work with you.

P.S. Alongside personal guidance is the incredible support system of practitioners growing inside our community right now.
Combine a team like that with personal teaching and a full-stack training program, and it will be hard not to see your life transform.
Here’s the link, one more time…
