“To play bigger games, you must become a bigger player; to play at higher levels, you must level-up.” – yesterday’s email, The Game of Your Life
Let’s recap yesterday’s skyscraper analogy to set the scene:

The game of your life is being played out in a towering skyscraper, and there are two ways to play:
1. Horizontal:
Win the level you’re on, by…
Accumulating resources (money, material possessions, etc), advancing your business or career, building your relationships and social life, having a family, and keeping yourself entertained.
2. Vertical:
Ascend upwards, by…
Unlocking the deeper potentials within yourself, and fundamentally transforming both the way you see reality, and operate within it.
It’s the difference between…
Building a multi-million dollar business vs. doing your life’s work.
Hooking up with hotter chicks vs. finding your life partner.
Being a better member of your church vs. having a direct experience of God.
Or, if you prefer:
Dominating your high school league vs. playing in the pros.
You can do the first one from the level you’re at.
But to do the second one, you must ascend.
Now, I’m obviously a fan of playing the game both ways:
Where your vertical growth amplifies your capacity to grow horizontally, and brings depth and fulfillment to an often-shallow horizontal world…
…And, your horizontal growth brings balance and well-roundedness to your vertical life.
The problem is, genuine vertical development almost doesn’t exist.
In the online world — including the self-development space — it makes up probably 1% of the content out there.
(and no, “go monk-mode to dominate the haterz and become an alpha Top G so all the ladiez wanna have your babiez and all the men wanna sign up for your Skool community” doesn’t count)
If you truly want to ascend:
To fundamentally transform yourself and the way you see reality — to uncover the deeper potentials of human life and unlock the higher vistas of inner perception…
…Your best bets, until now, have been:
1. Sift through esoteric, hard-to-understand spiritual teachings and hope you can figure it out on your own.
2. Pack your bags and go train in person with one of the few real teachers of human development, if you can find them.
Or, both (aka. the story of my 20’s).
Which brings us to the true purpose of The Path:
