“The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.” – Alfred Adler
Happy Friday 🙂
Below are three more recommendations to send you into your weekend right…
…But before we jump in, I have a quick favor to ask:
Can you let me know which of these three courses you’d like me to create next?
It’ll take less than a minute, and there’s a gift waiting for you on the other side.
Muchas gracias.
Okay, on to those recs:

Shogun
There are good shows (Entourage), and there are great shows (Ted Lasso), and there are masterpieces.
Shogun is a masterpiece.
The plot is complex and tricky to follow in spots, so watching this primer ahead of time can be helpful.

Light Therapy Pad
I finally followed Huberman’s advice and grabbed one of these a few months ago.
It’s not as good as getting sunlight first thing in the morning, but I’ve noticed a tangible difference in wakefulness during morning meditation since using it.
My current AM routine:
1. Wake up
2. Head to bathroom, turn on light pad
3. Jing massage, brush teeth, cold shower
4. Black Pu’er tea (1/2 dose)
5. Sitting meditation
I basically keep the light pad on (not looking at it directly) while I’m in the bathroom to help wake me up.
Seems to help.

Conor McGregor on the power of the mind
A quick little banger from prior-to-going-off-the-rails McGregor…
…Back when he was not only one of the baddest men on the planet, but a genuine philosopher of the game.
(well worth the 60 second watch time)
Especially interesting to hear him say that what drew him to MMA was the mental / emotional aspect of combat…
Thanks to Adan for this one.

Have an awesome one over there.
You deserve it.

P.S. A friend sent me this Tweet a few days ago:
@zachpogrob:
“My favorite people are relentlessly intense in work, and completely relaxed in life
Barbarian killer energy with making money
Happy teddy bear energy with having fun
Rare combination but it’s obvious when you see it”
Meditate on that one this weekend 🙂
