“The planet is fine. The people are f*cked.” – George Carlin
Happy Friday 🙂
You tired of all the Jing talk yet?
(I know, trick question)
Still, let’s take a light and easy breather today with some weekend recommendations…
…Starting with the one I’ve been waiting all week to share:
***
Max Holloway upgrades Jing levels worldwide
Max blessed us with a global Jing upgrade in this all-time demonstration of bad-m-f*ckery.
I’m still buzzing from it.
Maggie’s New Album
You know I love me some Maggie Rogers, and her new album is excellent, as usual.
(On & On & On and Don’t Forget Me are probably my most-listened-to tracks so far)
The album drop also had me revisiting the moment she was discovered during — of all things — a Masterclass recording with Pharrell — while she was still a music student in New York.
If you haven’t seen that clip, yet, I’m convinced it’s one of the best things on the internet.
George Carlin on Saving The Planet
Big thanks to Path member @Crt for this one:
George Carlin delivers an epic stand-up set about saving the planet — and his message is probably the exact opposite of what you’re expecting.
The stuff about plastic is a bit questionable, but remember the golden rule of standup:
It’s just a joke.
So don’t sweat the details too much — just sit back, relax, and appreciate mastery.

Have an awesome weekend over there.
And to those in the Jing program, remember:
It’s all going down tomorrow at 10 am EST sharp.
Gonna be a wild one 🙂

P.S. One more from George Carlin, a true BMF of comedy:
“I don’t like ass kissers, flag wavers or team players. I like people who buck the system. Individualists. I often warn people: “Somewhere along the way, someone is going to tell you, ‘There is no “I” in team.’ What you should tell them is, ‘Maybe not. But there is an “I” in independence, individuality and integrity.’” Avoid teams at all cost. Keep your circle small. Never join a group that has a name. If they say, “We’re the So-and-Sos,” take a walk. And if, somehow, you must join, if it’s unavoidable, such as a union or a trade association, go ahead and join. But don’t participate; it will be your death. And if they tell you you’re not a team player, congratulate them on being observant.” – George Carlin
Amen.
