“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.” – Charles Bukowski
Keeping with the theme of this week, here’s one last post from our Path community.
This time, we’ll reach into my bag of tricks for handling high stress & heavy workloads.
There are some really valuable tools in here, so read carefully…

“Do 3 rounds of 12-fold lower belly breathing at the end of your workday, before you wind down for dinner.
If you have time, you could couple this with either an epsom salt bath or sauna afterwards, followed by either a cold shower or ice bath.
I would also consider taking Rhodiola, which is an adaptogenic herb that helps your body and mind handle stress.
(only take it for ~6-8 weeks at a time)
On a psychological level:
Stress is compounded by your emotional response to your workload, more than it is from the workload itself.
In other words, stressing about the fact that you’re stressed only makes the stress feel heavier.
You’re young and strong and perfectly capable of handling the load on a physical level:
Trust your ability to handle it, and allow it not to be an emotional burden.
Enjoy lifting this heavy weight and all of the long-term benefits that come from lifting heavy weights (resilience, work capacity, higher baseline stress tolerance, etc).

Hope that helps 🙂
Tomorrow, our final email before I leave for our summer retreat…
