“When you truly work for yourself, you won’t have hobbies, you won’t have weekends, and you won’t have vacations, but you won’t have work either.” – Naval Ravikant

Welcome back.

Today, I’m making an announcement about the future of these emails…

(at least, the short-term future)

…And I’m going to weave it into a behind-the-scenes look at how I’m thinking about my business, right now.

Along the way, if I do my job right, you’ll gain some critical insight into your own business.

Here we go:

#1: The future of these daily emails…

…Will not be daily.

At least not for the next few months, but maybe longer.

I expect they’ll be weekly, most of the time, with the odd daily burst when inspiration strikes.

Here’s why…

#2: Daily emails are not the highest leverage point in my business, right now.

Let me first say this:

I fxcking love writing daily emails.

Daily emails built EGT to a multi-7-figure business with zero social media, and ignited my life-long love affair with writing.

So it has been a pure joy to be writing again over the past two years, during this phase of semi-retirement and creative exploration, while figuring out what I want to do next.

But, now that I’ve figured it out, daily emails are going to need to take a back-seat while I begin building my business in proper order.

Here’s what I mean:

The front-end of business can be broken down into three basic steps…

a. Create an offer (ie. your product or service).

b. Put your offer in front of people (ie. ads or content).

c. Sell your offer to those people (ie. a sales funnel and, in my case, daily emails).

But there is no point in doing c. unless you’re doing b.

And no point doing b. unless you’ve done a.

In other words:

Sending daily emails to a list that isn’t really growing because you aren’t running ads or making content because you don’t have an offer to sell…

…Is not good business.

(unless you’re a freak like me who loves writing so much he’ll send two years of emails into the ether just for the love of the game)

Which brings us to:

#3: How I’m building my next business.

I’ll be spending the next few months focused on:

a. Building my core offer.

b. Developing ad campaigns to drive traffic to that offer, and a funnel to sell it.

Once those are up and running, daily emails will return with new purpose.

Until then, we’ll keep dropping new emails — but weekly, instead of daily.

Which means, fair warning:

They’re gonna bang.

(you’ve seen what I can deliver on a daily basis… now imagine what I can do with a full week)

Consider my shot called.

In the meantime, have an awesome week over there, and I’ll see you back here…

…Soon 🙂

P.S. Hit reply when you have a sec, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this:

Do you prefer longer weekly emails to shorter daily emails?

Or do you want us to keep cranking daily emails as we’ve been doing?
